On June 26th, China (Guangdong)-Singapore Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference was held in Singapore. A total of 32 cooperation projects and a total investment of about 26 billion RMB were reached at the Conference, covering industries including energy and chemical industry, supply chain, new materials, finance, technological cooperation and cultural tourism. A project signing ceremony was also held at the site.
Themed on Guangdong-Singapore investment cooperation in The context of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), the Conference was composed of three main topics: first, the introduction of the supportive policies and business environment of the GBA; second, the development and investment opportunities of key industries in platforms like Hengqin, Qianhai, Nansha and the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City; and third, the opportunities and key areas of cooperation between Guangdong and Singapore. The Conference aimed to deepen mutual trust and expand common ground between the two sides, so as to furTher promote the economic and trade cooperation between them.
In recent years, within the framework of China-Singapore friendships, the exchanges and cooperation between Guangdong and Singapore have been steadily gathering momentum. According to the data of 2022, the import and export volume between Guangdong and Singapore reached 23.24 billion US dollars, accounting for 20.1% of the trade volume between the two countries. Also, the first five months of 2023 saw the import and export volume between Guangdong and Singapore reached 10.79 billion US dollars, a substantial increase of 39.4%, marking a booming prospect of the economic and trade cooperation between the two sides.
As the largest provincial-level trading partner of Singapore and its largest investment destination in China, Guangdong boasts more than 17 billion US dollars of investments from Singapore enterprises. The Economic and Trade Conference this time will start a new chapter of Guangdong-Singapore cooperation, in which the integration of economic and trade between the two sides and Their high-quality development will be further promoted.
粤新交流合作稳步推进，中国（广东）-新加坡经贸合作交流会举行
6月26日下午，中国（广东）-新加坡经贸合作交流会在新加坡举行。交流会共达成合作项目32个，投资金额合计约260亿元，涵盖能源化工、供应链、新材料、金融、科技合作、文旅等领域，现场举行了项目签约仪式。
本次交流会紧扣粤港澳大湾区背景下粤新投资合作主题，介绍粤港澳大湾区的支持政策和营商环境，推介横琴、前海、南沙、中新知识城等平台重点产业发展情况和投资商机，探讨广东与新加坡的合作发展商机和重点合作领域，旨在进一步加深双方的互信与共识，推动广东与新加坡在经贸与投资等领域交流与合作迈向更高水平。
近年来，在中新友好关系大框架下，粤新交流合作稳步推进、势头向好。数据显示，2022年，广东与新加坡进出口额达232.4亿美元，占中国与新加坡贸易额的20.1%。今年1—5月双方进出口额达107.9亿美元、大幅增长39.4%，粤新经贸合作展现出蓬勃发展的前景。
广东是新加坡最大的省级贸易伙伴、也是新加坡在中国最大的投资地，新加坡企业在粤投资累计超170亿美元。本次经贸合作交流会将开启粤新合作新篇章，进一步推动粤新经贸深度融合、经济高质量发展。(更多新闻资讯，请关注羊城派 pai.ycwb.com)
